Mike was co-founder of the IEDD Wing of the RNZAOC School 1973, founding CO of 11 EOD Bn 1981, a Senior Research Lecturer and Registrar of Cranfield University 1984 educating EOD students up to Masters level and supervising PhD projects. He co-founded TERN/INDD and subsequently in 1990-2001 LEADS for high performance search dogs, GEMS on mitigation systems, VSAG for protected vehicles and RSMF for security managers across UK Government, academia, commerce and industry. During 2001-2003 Mike organised international munition clearance and search related seminars. A member of IMCSE for more than 20 years, the IExpE for 40 years and of various international protective security and vulnerable/care networks (CPFG & CRPG) to date.
