The new IMCSE membership card bears the member’s image, name, membership number, year of joining IMCSE and a QR code link to a membership verification page. During their work IMCSE members or their property may become contaminated with chemicals that are detected by explosive and other trace detection equipment particularly at international border exit and entry points. A positive detection result initiates procedures by security personnel who by scanning the membership card QR code will access the membership verification page which provides a brief explanation of the munition clearance and search professions and membership award procedure. By entering the membership number and clicking the search box the member’s name will appear verifying IMCSE membership. The cards which have the IMCSE logo on the reverse will be issued to members during the coming months.
