Garth has international experience in a range of munition clearance and search disciplines including CMD, IEDD, EOC, BAC, CWD, mine clearance, search, blast mitigation and munition casualty recovery. He served in British Army EOD, military engineer and special force units, established and led the UN Chemical Destruction Group in Iraq, commanded the UK Joint Defence and Police Service, National Search Centre, introduced Hazardous Environment Training to the UK Defence Forces and has been a specialist adviser to the UK Parliament. In EOD staff appointments he was responsible for the development of doctrine, equipment and procedures including the response to CBRN Terrorism. Garth is a founder Member of IMCSE and served as its President from 1998 to 2003 and 2020 until the present. He operates 2 risk mitigation companies in Iraq.
